Pregnancy // Maternity Leggings Roundup

Mom Life, Mom Style, Pregnancy / Thursday, August 30th, 2018

If I had to choose one must-have for my entire pregnancy, it would be a great pair (or 5) of black leggings.  *If I had to choose two items, the other would be gummy bears, but that’s besides the point.  I absolutely love the leggings trend, and it’s one I feel blessed to be pregnant during, since there are unlimited options for theses fabulous pants (and yes, I do believe leggings are pants).

Whether I’m throwing on a pair to run errands, or dressing them up with booties and a tunic, they’ve been the official bottomwear of my pregnancy and I’m sharing some of my fav’s with you!

The Basics

Cowl Neck Hoodie: PinkBlush // Leggings: Ingrid & Isabel // Headband: H&M

This top from PinkBlush has been the perfect cozy fall tunic to throw on when I’m heading out the door to run errands.  It’s pretty lightweight, so I’ve been loving it for chilly mornings that turn into super hot afternoons.  It runs a little big, so size down!

Isabel Maternity™ by Ingrid & Isabel® Crossover Panel Leggings // My hands down favorite maternity legging!  I love the partnership between Ingrid & Isabel and Target because of the great price point and almost identical styles to the original brand line.  These leggings are over the belly (my preference), super comfortable, and really hold up.  *I’m wearing them as I write this*

Mumberry Power Leggings *Use code ALWAYSUS for 20% off!  // These are a new find, and the science behind them is amazing!  Mumberry leggings equipped with the “Mumband” are designed to not only help support the weight of your growing uterus, but to reduce back pain, ease round ligament and pelvic pain, and to even keep Braxton Hicks contractions at bay (oh, and the power leggings have pockets!).  Yes PLEASE!  Use code ALWAYSUS for 20% off at checkout!

Kindred Bravely The Louisa // The Kindred Bravely brand is all about comfort for Mamas, and Mamas are on board!  82% of the reviews on these babies are 5*, and the price point is comparable to other leading maternity leggings.  Reviewers have said these leggings do not pill or roll down, are worth every penny and also provide great post-partum support.  All pretty fabulous things, right?!  S (4-6), M (8-10), L (10-12), XL (12-14), XXL (14-16)

Lululemon Wunder Under Hi-Rise *Get 4% Cash Back with Ebates! // These are my absolute go-to leggings pre-pregancy and have been just as wonderful during trimesters 1-2 (I’m in the first weeks of my 3rd trimester and still wearing these!)  I’m between 5’5 and 5’6, so I love the 7/8 length in 28″ style.  I have these in black and in blue, and I’m patiently waiting a fabulous olive green color to add to my collection.

Blanqi Everyday Maternity Belly Support Leggings // SO comfortable!!  With their [Pill Resistant!!] luxe, buttery soft, breathable fabric, these literally feel like a second skin.  Light all-over compression smooths out all those extra lumps and bumps (that ALL expectant bodies get) and back and belly support to lift and redistribute weight, make these a no brainer.  Receive 20% off ALL Blanqi purchases –> HERE  *Bonus! No matter what leggings you choose, you absolutely HAVE to have one of these magical fabric defuzzers!  This is the one I use, and it’s been a Godsend for my leggings.  If only I would have found this years ago!

Dress It Up

Isabel Maternity by Ingrid & Isabel™ – Faux Leather Front  // Another great pair of leggings from this fabulous Mama brand (in partnership with Target)!

Active Moto Legging A solid pair of moto leggings can be an absolute staple in Fall maternity style.  An edgier take on a basic legging with piping detail, mesh, I love the look this moto legging can add to an outfit paired with a simple t-shirt and denim jacket.

Navy with Gold Ankle Zippers // These leggings came in a maternity stitch fix box I received when I was pregnant with Olivia was just beginning to build my maternity wardrobe.  I absolutely fell in love with these because of the great fit, and simple but fun gold zipper ankle detail that dressed up a tank and cardigan (when I didn’t feel like putting on pants).

Sweater: StitchFix / Leggings: Rune / Shoes: J.Crew Factory (similar HERE)/ Tank: Lululemon

LALABU High Waisted Leggings // I cannot say enough great things about Lalabu!  I absolutely love their products, and I’m SO excited about their new high waist leggings!  Gentle compression, moisture wicking fabric, and made in the good ole US of A!

↳ I’ve talked a lot about the LALABU Soothe Shirt, another one of my absolute postpartum must haves (size up!!)
Tank: Lalabu / Leggings: Isabel Maternity / Zip-Up: Lululemon (Similar HERE)

Knockout by Victoria Sport High-rise Pocket Tight  // These are some of the best compression leggings I’ve found to date!  They’ve got a more athletic look, and are perfect for getting back in shape post-babe or even rocking that athleisure look (aka my uniform).

Ya’ll know how much I also LOVE Le Tote (where you can rent 20+ styles of maternity leggings!)  Try your first month free HERE!

  1. I laughed so hard when I read the title….how clever are you! and Yes it is so true, I have come to really love and appreciate a good comfy legging. That is not to say I don’t love my high heels and dressing up! great post!!

  2. I loved my pregnancy legging that I got from motherhood! Jeans were so uncomfortable and made me feel like I could barely move (not that I really wanted to when I became too far along). I’ll have to save this post when I decide to have another baby so I can be extra cozy.

  3. I lived in leggings when I was pregnant. Anyone who tells me they aren’t pants is going to get punched in the face. Who am I kidding? I live in leggings now too!

They are just so comfortable and easy. Plus I love the way they look and they mostly go with everything. I can move around which is key to chasing around a toddler.

Great post and I need to save it in case I get around to #2 at some point. I’ll need more black leggings by then!
